SKIN CANCER SCREENING & MOLE MAPPING
In-house skin cancer screening combining a full body physical examination
SKIN CANCER SCREENING & MOLE MAPPING
Early detection and treatment of skin cancer can lead to complete removal of the skin cancer and a permanent cure. This is particularly true for Melanoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer which potentially can metastasize at an early stage with poor treatment options.Dermatology, Allergy and Surgery Clinic develops an in-house skin cancer screening combining a full body physical examination by an experienced dermatologist and a full body mole mapping by Intelligence Studio developed by industrial leader, Canfield Technology from USA.
What does Skin Cancer Screening involve?
During a skin cancer screening, our dermatologists will carefully examine your skin from head to toe, evaluating any moles, freckles, or other skin lesions. They will assess their size, shape, colour, and symmetry, looking for any irregularities that may warrant further investigation. In some cases, our dermatologists may utilise dermoscopy—a specialised tool that provides a magnified view of the skin—for a more detailed analysis.
If any suspicious lesions or abnormalities are identified, our dermatologists may recommend further testing, such as a biopsy, to determine if skin cancer is present. Early detection allows for timely treatment and increases the likelihood of successful outcomes.
FULL BODY MOLE MAPPING USING INTELLIGENCE STUDIO
At Dermatology, Allergy & Surgery Clinic we also offer Full Body Mole Mapping using Intelligence Studio — a state-of-the-art technology that revolutionises the way we detect and monitor potentially cancerous skin lesions. Mole mapping pictures provide a way to track changes on your skin if you have a large number of unusual moles or if you have a history of skin cancer.
What is Full Body Mole Mapping?
Full Body Mole Mapping is a non-invasive procedure that involves capturing high-resolution images of your skin using our advanced Intelligence Studio system. During the session, our dermatologists will meticulously examine your entire body, capturing detailed images of each mole, freckle, or suspicious lesion. These images serve as a baseline for future comparisons, allowing for early detection of any changes that may occur over time.
How does Intelligence Studio work?
Intelligence Studio utilises sophisticated algorithms to analyse the collected images and identify any potential signs of concern. The system compares the current images with your previous mapping sessions, highlighting any changes in size, shape, colour, or texture. By detecting even subtle changes, Intelligence Studio helps our dermatologists identify suspicious lesions that may require further investigation.
Get screened for skin cancer at Dermatology, Allergy & Surgery Clinic and experience the peace of mind and assurance that our experienced doctors and state-of-the-art mole mapping service can offer you.
Our program starts from $250 including full-body mole mapping screening plus full-body skin examination by a dermatologist.
CRYOTHERAPY
Treat various skin conditions and concerns
CRYOTHERAPY
At Dermatology, Allergy & Surgery Clinic, we offer Cryotherapy treatments to treat various skin conditions and concerns. How does Cryotherapy work?
Cryotherapy utilises the power of sub-zero temperatures to target and treat specific areas of the skin. During the procedure, our experienced dermatologists apply liquid nitrogen or a specialised cryogen to the targeted areas. This rapid freezing effectively destroys unwanted skin cells or lesions while minimising damage to surrounding healthy tissue.
What conditions can Cryotherapy treat?
- Skin Tags and Warts (both viral and non-viral) (pictures)
- Actinic Keratosis: This is pre-cancerous skin condition caused by sun damage and can be effectively treated with Cryotherapy, reducing the risk of progression to skin cancer.
- Skin Cancer: Cryotherapy can be used to treat very superficial skin cancer like basal cell carcinoma
ELECTROSURGERY
Advanced and highly effective treatment for various skin conditions
ELECTROSURGERY
At Dermatology, Allergy & Surgery Clinic, we offer electrosurgery as an advanced and highly effective treatment for various skin conditions. How does Electrosurgery work?
Electrosurgery involves the use of high-frequency electrical currents to target specific areas of the skin. Our skilled dermatologists employ specialised instruments to deliver the electrical energy, allowing for precise and targeted treatment.
What conditions can Electrosurgery treat?
Electrosurgery and cryotherapy remove similar set of skin conditions. Electrosurgery is more precise and normally requires one sitting only for removal of the lesions. Multiple sitting may be needed for cryotherapy
- Remove Skin Tags, Warts, and Moles: Electrosurgery offers a precise and efficient way to eliminate these bothersome skin growths, restoring smooth and blemish-free skin.
- Treating Seborrhoiec and Actinic Keratosis: This common benign skin condition characterised by raised, waxy growths can be effectively treated with electrosurgery, resulting in improved skin texture.
- Skin Cancers: Electrosurgery can be utilised for the precise removal of certain types of skin cancer, offering a reliable and effective treatment option.
LASERS
Effective and precise laser treatments to address a wide range of skin concerns
LASERS
At Dermatology, Allergy & Surgery Clinic, we offer effective and precise laser treatments to address a wide range of skin concerns. How do Laser Treatments work?
Laser treatments utilise focused beams of light energy to target specific areas of the skin. These highly concentrated light waves are absorbed by the targeted tissue, generating controlled heat and stimulating the desired response. Depending on the specific laser used, our dermatologists can target pigmentation irregularities, stimulate collagen production, remove unwanted hair, and much more.
What conditions can Laser Treatments address?Laser treatments offer versatile solutions for a wide range of dermatological concerns. They can effectively address:
- Skin Rejuvenation: Laser treatments can help improve skin tone and texture, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots. They stimulate collagen production, promoting a more youthful and radiant complexion.
- Pigmentation Issues: Whether you're dealing with sunspots, freckles, or hyperpigmentation, laser treatments can target and break down excessive pigmentation, revealing a more even and balanced skin tone.
- Hair Removal: Laser hair removal offers a safe and long-lasting solution for unwanted hair. The laser targets hair follicles, inhibiting future growth and providing smooth, hair-free skin.
- Acne and Acne Scars: Laser treatments can help reduce active acne and minimise the appearance of acne scars. They work by targeting and destroying the bacteria responsible for acne while promoting skin healing and regeneration.
PHOTOTHERAPY (FULL BODY AND LOCALISED)
Treatment modality
PHOTOTHERAPY (FULL BODY AND LOCALISED)
Dermatology, Allergy & Surgery Clinic offers Phototherapy as a treatment modality. What is Phototherapy?
Phototherapy involves the controlled exposure of your skin to specific wavelengths of light to achieve therapeutic benefits. This non-invasive treatment modality has been shown to effectively address a wide range of skin conditions, including psoriasis, eczema, vitiligo, and certain types of skin rashes.
Full Body Phototherapy
For conditions that affect large areas of the body or require comprehensive treatment, we offer Full Body Phototherapy. During a session, your entire body will be exposed to a specialised light source, such as a UVB or UVA lamp. The light penetrates the skin, targeting the underlying causes of your condition and promoting healing and symptom relief.
Localised Phototherapy
For targeted treatment of specific areas, we provide Localised Phototherapy. This approach is ideal for addressing smaller areas affected by conditions such as psoriasis or eczema. Our dermatologists will direct the light source to the specific region requiring treatment, allowing for precise and effective therapy.
